Compression test: M, 45 cm, Sudden collapse. Slope south of Artist Point at start of traverse to Ptarmigan. Ski conditions excellent in lower forested zones we visited.
Avalanche
Storm slab release on convex rollover (top of run/ frequent flyer) in recent 3" in Kootenay Trees. Ski cut produced. Interesting that we did get a mild whump deeper in the snow pack while skinning up to Ptarmigan Pass at the end of the day. Surprising lack of natural activity on bigger features.
