Quick report
The south facing slopes were being affected by the sun and we did a CT test and found a smooth fracture line at about 15 cm down that had a sudden collapse at a CT 12. This layer was not being affected by the sun and any wet loose avalanches I feel could’ve stepped down to this layer. The picture shows the smooth clean fracture region. An ECT did not show a consistent solid slab and we did a saw propagation test that didn’t really show anything of significance. The heavy melting today I’m sure we’ll freeze and be an interesting layer in the future. We could call it the “Jimmy Carter” layer since it was the day of his mourning.
