Quick report
Traveled the forest roads towards Mt Weird. We noticed a large amount of surface hoar around 4000', this layer was not present above or below that elevation. New snow over supportive crust ranging from 1cm to 1m was dense powder, slightly sticky. Did not notice anything reactive. Trees were heavily loaded, and roller balls visible during brief sun breaks. Skiing trees under 4200' difficult due to crust, above that was quite nice. Very light precip and mixed visibility.
