Quick report
We rode out of the parking lot right around 1030, the refreeze crust was still present throughout the area. Morning cloud cover was still blocking out the sun and preventing the crust to melt. As we moved along the sun finally came out and slowly started to soften the snow. Once we reached upper elevations the wind speeds increased out of the SW, the higher we got the more sustained the winds were. With that said, with the mix of crusty and wet surface snow, there was no transporting snow observed at all throughout the day. Right about 1330 the snow really softened up and most solar aspects started to ride better then expected . Being at the right angle of the sun was the best snow. Most shaded aspects in protected areas maintained a crust from winds and lack of sunshine. Ski pen and boot pen increased as the snow became loose but no signs of instability observed throughout the day.

Mostly clear skies with intermitten high cirrus cloud formation. Moderate SW winds most of the day, more sustained wind speeds at the summits.
