Quick report

Went up to Yurt Ski 2/23 - 2/25. Given the avy warning, we planned to stick to slopes less than 30 degrees and well away from locally-connected terrain. We did NOT experience whumpfing or cracking but a quick pit confirmed the dangerous layers discussed in the avy report and reinforced our conservative approach. 1.5-2ft of snow fell at the yurt by the 25th. When the clouds lifted that morning we could see many recent natural avalanches. Went out on a tour of low angle terrain. The fresh snow was almost too deep to get many turns in but we enjoyed getting out and having a look around. Gusty winds were transporting snow onto multiple aspects and drifted in the snowmobile route. Warmer temps and clear skies had begun to warm the snowpack in places by the time we departed.
