Snowpack in this zone was very unconsolidated and more shallow than other areas in this forecast zone. Very touchy feeling and unsupportive. As we continued to climb up the zone, cracking and collapsing observed. We remote triggered a small slide at a road cut (D1) on an east aspect. Rain crust up to 8,500 with 2-3 inches of snow on top.

Multiple avalanches observed traveling up Pole Creek. Two crossed the road including a large one at Grand Prize Gulch (D3). The second (D2) was a road cut just before the road crosses to the south side of the creek. Both were soft slabs and naturally released during the storm cycle.
