Quick report

Went up late, not planning on skiing high up. New snow down low was good, but still shallow. Saw a group of 3 that raved about Diamondhead, and knew another ex patroller that had skied it as well…Inchanged my mind and went up windy gully and probably 2/3rds of the East Face Route.. open areas were still powder, but wind effects were everywhere. Black volcanic rock is still sticking up in some areas, making the thin spots dangerous especially in poor weather.. i skied a slope between 30-33 in between earlier tracks. I stuck to more wind sheltered area, and the slope skied perfect except that the bottom needs more snow. Going back in am - might not ski the steepest parts… None
