Variable snow surfaces. Sastrugi and up to 20cm thick wind board above facets in exposed and shaded areas. 4cm thick melt-freeze crust on south aspects. Below the treeline, ~6500' north aspects are soft facetted snow or have thin warm-up crust above factes.
