No Signs of instability. Interesting note.... seemed that a freezing rain crust formed on top of yesterday's new snow, at treeline elevation. This crust was not found BTL. This was a breakable crust, measured about .5 cm thick. A couple cms of new snow, round grains, fell on top. Overall, new snow is good and soft.
foggy with periods of flurries throughout the day.
No results on 2, 30cmx30cm compression tests tests. The new snow, ranging from 10-20cms, sits on top of a 5cm bombproof crust. A half cm, new crust formed overnight or early morning on top of the new snow that we noticed only above, roughly 1600m. May have. even a brief period of freezing rain at some point.
