Quick Observation

Saw a lot of wind affect out there, in different directions or on different aspects compared to what I normally see. In some areas it seemed like the wind had been S/SW. Rain crust present to 2200m. Above that there was either wind slab or soft powder depending on which 5ft segment you were looking at. It actually skied pretty well, but I wouldn't have wanted to go into steep terrain. There was also old pinwheels, bits of broken cornice and other various ice lumps snuck throughout the snowpack up to about 2400, so you had to be prepared for surprises.
