Strong winds observed out of the N/NW created a wind slab and trigger on the weak rain crust layer. Rain crust layers < 10cm. This natural slide occurred at some point while we were in the area between 11:00 and 15:00 30m below the ridgeline on an ESE aspect right at the tree line.

Strong winds between 11:00-16:00 along ridgelines deposited substantial snow on E/SE aspects at and above treeline along ridgelines.
