Snowpack
The snowpack was generally 1 to 1.5 m deep in the areas I traveled. On both south- and north-facing aspects, snow distribution appeared strongly influenced by wind, with deeper deposits in gullies and little to no snow on the adjacent slopes. In areas where I traveled, the upper 50 to 60 cm of the snowpack felt moist. on all elevations between 10,200 and 11,500 ft. See snowpit for more details.
