Into the high country behind Bakers Brook Fjord, and 10 Mile Fiord today. First visit of the season to this spectacular alpine area. 50+cm of new snow over the last few days, has blanketed the terrain from valley bottom to the high alpine. Evidence of heavy wind loading, on alpine ridge top features, on most aspects, but the winds have yet to disturb the snow at, and below tree line. Stable conditions on the mellow terrain we toured, but we did have some easy and moderate results, in test on NE and SE aspects at around 550m. No natural avalanche activity observed. Still lots of dangerous snowmobile travel hazards in the ways of holes, washouts, sags, and more holes. Supreme riding right now, but heads up!
