Skied out of Chuck Creek trailhead today. Found about 30cm of wind slab with 10cm of powder on top. Beneath the wind slab was about 5cm of weak/facetted snow, which made for a noticeable hollow feeling. No whumphing observed. Saw active wind loading occurring on slopes lee to the north wind. Also observed a D2+ soft slab avalanche on the steep north face/gully of Glave peak, right in the commonly skied section about 1/2 to 2/3rds of the way to the top. Crown was about 60cm deep, 80m wide, and occurred at 1580m, N aspect.
