From the Snowy Torrents 1986-1996:

"A family from Salt Lake City arrived at an A-frame cabin for the weekend. A 7 year old boy and a friend also 7 years old were playing outside the cabin shortly after noon. They were knocking icicles off the roof eaves when the snow on the roof avalanched burying one of the boys."

The second boy ran for help. Wasatch County Sheriff was alerted. The father and a passing snowmobiler dug the boy out and started CPR.
