Exploratory tour

Skinned up towards Lightning Strike Ridge on the forest road. 15 - 18 cm of moderately light snow on the solid crust of recent rain, snowpack thin through the trees. One test ski cut at the top produced a small crack which did not give beyond 5 feet.
