Sunbaked slip and slide

Skinned up the south face of evening ridge and it was extremely hard packed in dense trees. Snow had been sun affected so any snow falling off trees was ice and the previous skin track was very slick in spots. Descended down the north facing slopes and snow quality was significantly better. Settling was occurring. West faces were okay but firm. East faces were feeling good. Temps remained around -5 all afternoon with patches of sun and snow falling.

Inversion occurring with small bits of fog at the parking lot. Clear to overcast throughout most of the day.
