Summit Creek area

<p>Between Wednesday and Sunday, the North wind made some significant changes on the snowpack. The last open slopes still left untouched by the previous wind event are now well affected too. The only places to find noncohesive cold snow ( powder) is below the treeline or in some well protected deep couloirs now. Wind hard slabs are present everywhere mostly on the previous wind affected layer. There is not much snow left available for wind transport because mostly the snow has been transported twice form the South and then from the North, the result is formation of very hard slabs (very small grains well bonded together)Stability is good to very good in most of the places, hard slabs on top of the snowpacks are not reactive as well as the old windslabs underneath. Base layer of depth hoar and facets are mostly well isolated now due to very hard cohesive snow on top but could be still reactive in some shallow areas. Ski conditions are not excellent but fair and it is still possible to find some good snow (hard but with a good glide and grip) because the surface is mostly supportive and even is sastrugis are present, they are not too big in size and limited to some certain areas. ( Route finding and snow sense are important to be able to travel easily and to have fun skiing.</p>
