Ursus Trees + Danger

I cannot lie, the skiing in Ursus Trees was exceptional.
That being said, I advise only travelling up Connaught creek this early if you are VERY confident on your skis or board.
The Hospital Gully boulder field was extremely dangerous, very low coverage.
The ski out at valley bottom consisted of melt/freeze crust skintrack walls and rocks galore.
The last thing anybody needs is a brain injury from smoking a rock with your dome, so please please use discretion if you are planning to head out to the pass this early.
Other than that, we found 97cm base at 1970m on Ursus ridge. Forgot to take a depth reading at our transition point sorry. Had very little movement from the snow aside the some slight sloughing at the top of Hospital Gully.
Cheers, love y’all
