signs of instability

We had grand plans, but once we got up to the Bow summit area, we could see the wind was really cranking in the Alpine. We decided to keep it simple, and we were glad we did, as we had pretty much consistent whumpfing and shooting cracks on all alpine slopes. The slab on top of the November facets has stiffened up and made the possibility of triggering an avalanche much more likely. I wouldn't want to be on any "real" ski slopes or anything with consequences at the moment.
