**Approach is well packed. Note that when dropping down the double track onto the creek bed, look for a path going into trees marked by orange flagging located 100m upstream. This tree trail will avoid the first one or two river crossings and still be useful late season when ice bridges are failing. Likewise by taking the left turn further upstraem it also avoids the sketchy creek crossing before Chantilly.
**Santa left a new bolted ring/chain anchor at the top of Chantilly Falls. As you reach the top look to the right, on the rock outcrop instead of left to the tree anchors. New ancho makes it possible to reach the midway station with a 60m rope. It has a nice flat belay stance, and when rapping you no longer swing leftward into the rock wall left of the ice.
**Ice is in decent shape but brittle and fracturing in many places, wet in some sections.
**Felt colder at creek level and seemed better at the rop of the route.
