Healy area and SSV

Toured conservatively from SSV parking lot up the ski out. Snow Safety set up a gazillion signs with no uphill travel - so if you were thinking of skiing the Dive and West, better have a plan B. We ended up on top of repeater slopes (Wawa Ridge). Alpine was wind hammered with sastrugi and/or old wind slab/crust. Really crappy snow. Observed what looked like a size 2 from a natural cornice on Monarch Ramparts. Also a size 2 loose wet that was likely a day old on Healy 2 path. Dropped down towards Healy - nothing to note. N aspects in trees skied well if there weren’t any previous tracks. We need a reset (and a cure for covid). Didn’t look like SSV was shutting down for the season as all snow fences and signs were still up (along with quite a few additional ones to control uphill traffic). Trees and shady aspects hold really good snow if you can find something that isn’t full of tracks of course. Nice little tour to enjoy fresh air / but definitely not one for the books though ...
