Quick Observation

Toured in over Falls Lake to a saddle below Zopkios. Lots of old crowns and debris in the bowl below Yak and some of the chutes below Zopkios. Dug a quick pit on a west facing steeper slope. Nothing major to report. CT Hard 30 with no movement on the crust layer 60 down. Took a strong pull with shovel to get crust to move. Everything is bonded well and good cohesion below crust. Snow was soft but grippy.

Weather

Day started clear and a bank of clouds moved in covering about 1800m and up. Moderate wind from the WSW with some drifting. Light snow around 230. Temp -5.

Snowpack

CT Hard result on crust layer 60 down after shovel shear. Good cohesion above and below crust.
