Quick Observation

Skied Mount Hector today. The weather was intermittently whiteout and blazing sun. We saw a fairly large avalanche off of the ridge between little Hector and Hector. The avalanche was triggered by a cornice failure and the crown line was 1 metre +. The skiing on the glacier was a few inches of powder with some wind affected slopes. Lower elevations were very sun affected and on the way down we noticed quite a few point releases.
