Quick Observation

Some new snow yesterday ~5cm, sw winds making slabs near ridges, temps from 0 to -4. Creamy powder on northern aspects and sun crust on solar aspects. Pit at 1950m, SE aspect, HS195cm, CTE7 (SP)down 25, ECTN15 down 25cm on ?. CTH32 (SP) Down 85 onSH, ECTP36 down 85 on SH. Sudden Planar fracture characteristic down 85cm with propagating tendency was a red alarm but its very stubborn and essentially reacted post test. Finally found the surface hoar but its bonding better possibly rounding out a bit. Low probability, high consequence? Skiing was great
