Not too bad in Elkford

It is still a good day in the mountains. Access was decent, the staging area at round prairie is down to dirt, but the access road is still fine. It’s a bit icy with a few bare spots until you get to the kiosk and transceiver checker then it is snow from then on. There was roughly 10 to 15 cm of settled snow over the most recent crust found basically everywhere. A second crust is about 30 cm down. Both crusts are supportive to snowmobiles. The snowpack below this is consolidated. The day was cloudy, so the surface snow didn’t get moist. There was no new avalanche activity.
