Enjoyed a storm skiing day at Twin Cairns. Skied on north facing slopes. Very windy. 10 cm new snow overnight. Crust was unsupportive in places on the way up, unfortunate as with the wind blowing so hard we needed a new skin track each run. Skiing down was fine as I stayed on top of the crust. Heard two large avalanches during the day, with the wind and limited visibility I couldn't tell where they were.
