Shames Backcountry Alpine and treeline (over the Dome to the top of Zymacord Trees and out Waterfall). 1400m to 700m. -10 degrees in am to 1 degree in pm. Winds light South. Light snow in am, light rain in pm. 15cm new snow past 24 hr. Average height of snow, 220. Limited visibility with flat light. Snow profile at 1300m on North aspect produced Compression Test Hard Sudden Planar down 85 in facets on December crust. No cracking or drum like sounds and no recent slab avalanches. Sluffing from steep rocky terrain in PM from warm temps and rain
