We explored by sled in the morning, out in the fantail flats and found deep fairly unconsolidated snow. In the afternoon we also did a ski tour up the East aspect of Log Cabin above the highway. With these early season conditions, alders are thick at lower elevations on the approach. At 1200m snow depth is around 150 cm. We found that above that elevation snow surface is wind affected. There is good skiing below 1200m and at tree line. We did a quick dig and found a couple crust/facet layers down 50-75cm. Recent storm snow was not reactive to tests in this location.
