Holy Apps it's hot out there!

Up to Mount Apps was the plan for today, we found reliable snow on the road at 11 km up the Holiday Main, with small patches before that which are not long for this world. It was 3 degrees at our truck as we started out, but an incredible 12 degrees once we reached the ridgeline, and it only got warmer after that. The valleys around us echoed with the sounds of snow and ice careening down in the blazing heat. While the shaded north aspect snow was still dry in the morning, by midday every snow surface was moist, and many were becoming wet. The tree bombs were non-stop, and slightly terrifying in size and weight.
