Quick Observation

Skied the drainage area just North of Black Prince (forgot the name but it's popular). 3 additional parties in the area but lots of snow to allow for fresh lines to be found. 20cm of light power on the surface with an obvious crust at the 20cm mark. This layer, though remarkable, was non reactive. Found a significant layer of grauple approx 75cm deep. This deeper layer was reactive only on the 5th big jump via Rusch Block loading test. Wind was transporting lots of snow by 12 noon. Wind slabs were noted in the open alpine and beginning to firm up significantly by 1:30pm when we opted to end our day. Lots of sluffing from the hanging ledges higher up on the MTN faces. Good skiing to be had however with the increase in precipitation and warming things will likely change and increase the hazard.

Weather

Plumes we occasionally seen when the weather/clouds cleared enough for the upper summits and ridges to be visible.

Snowpack

A 'slightly reactive' (?) crush layer at 20cm. Was found with an additional facet layer at 75cm. Throughout the snow pack density increased with depth.
