Gypsum Ridge - Black Bear sighted

Monday April 19th. Around 11am. While riding down our second run down from the main ridge to the miners trail, I maybe a toe side turn and saw a dark figure moving near a tree well. I locked eyes with the animal as I rode by and what I believed was a black bear. I stopped further down the slope, yelled up to my buddy who was following and he confirmed that it was a small-ish black bear. I believe we startled it and it started moving uphill thankfully. Just wanted to warn others that a bear is awake around the Gypsum Ridge area.
