Great day out at Chikadee. The slide paths are getting tracked out fast, but still some good snow to be had. Upper section of the paths had a slight sun crust from previous days, and sun affect today will further the crust going forward, but only on upper sections, above the shadow cast by Whymper. No signs of instability or recent avalanche activity. Weather was calm, sunny, and warm (melting snow on S facing rocks and on surface of snow) during peak heat of the day. Did not dig pit, but snow rode like 20cm of low density on top of a supportive base.
