Quick Observation

Skied the SE avalanche path off Nestor. The place has seen a lot of traffic and is skied out but snow was still soft. During the day a wet loose size 2 Na came down Sparrowhawk in an area protected by the wind beneath cliffs. Suspect lower SW parts of Mt Sparrowhawk have a thin suncrust. From the summit of Buller a 1.5 loose came down, I suspect it was from a cornice fall. The top of Nestor had a thin size two near the summit on south aspect from last week. To the north of Mt Mincher two 1.5 slabs pulled out at ridge line on SE aspect. See attached pictures for images of the avalanches.
