Toured up the ridge behind Caligata Lake today. Stormy for most of the day. We were skiing between 1600-2000m. A ski pen of 30-50cm made for tough trail breaking. Great skiing was found on North through East aspects with very wind affected snow on the West side of the ridge. Still some logs and other hazards to be avoided below tree line. Lots of shooting cracks and small sz 0.5-1 soft slabs failing on steep convex rolls. These looked to be 30-50cm deep. The storm snow seemed to be progressive and right side up in most places. Overall a great day out!
