Storms slabs were stubborn most of the day becoming more reactive as the day went on. No results from HE tests of PS structure. Long SS-ASc-R1-D1-I FC (50cm x 10m x 30m) JB Jungle SS-AE-R1-D1-I FC (60cm x 10m x 25m) Outer Limits SS-AE-R1-D1-I FC (18cm x 5m x 10m) 2 Chutes Left SS-AE-R2-D1-I FC (60cm x 10m x 75m)
Weather
Obscured skies all day winds were kinder than yesterday with SW winds avg. in the high 20's gusting to the upper 40's. Stronger winds were at a higher elevation than yesterday 12K and above. S1-3 snow fall with bands up to S-5 this afternoon.
Snowpack
Improved ski quality on all aspects thanks to lesser winds. Still some light scouring on entrances with high quality low density pow skiing below. Last nights snow was slightly wind pressed in EBM with variable coverage but still good ski quality and well bonded to old surfaces. Storm slabs were starting to show more signs of reactivity later this afternoon as snowfall progressed. Summary: Deep storm powder skiing.
