Great skiing and arduous trail breaking out there. We dug a pit on a west aspect at 1180m. Total snowpack 520cms. January rain crust is down 200cms.
There’s about a meter of storm snow. The top 40 was fist, very low density, progressing to 4f and 1f as we went. The storm interface at the bottom did not have a significant density change.
We did an ect with no results- some irregular breaking down 40 on the density change under the shovel. Also did a ct which was similar but irregularly broke down about a meter at the storm interface on ct18.
