Toured up Vantage Ridge to Cheques in the Mail. As advertised, the ski track up Cerise Creek was heinous, and the skinning in the forest until ~ 1650m was terrible. We did some shameful BTL bootpacking - see first photo for evidence. From 1650 - 2000m we had ~ 20cm of fresh, light snow. On S and E slopes the sun crust was very evident, making skinning on steep slopes challenging. Overall it was a bit of a faff of a day - would recommend FSRS to get to the alpine.
