Went up rainbow from the whistler olympic park. Alpine air temp was warm. Snow softened a little by early afternoon for decent skiing, but only a bit. Not spring corn yet. No instability on my track. Old avy debris on the west aspect of the rainbow S ridge. Also, saw 2 or 3 natural size 1 avys, on the hill WSW of rainbow, Pk1817m. They looked more fresh, all on convex rolls, higher up on the E aspect facing rainbow, wind slab? Inversion stayed all day and crept up to hanging lake. The valley snow stayed bulletproof, the ski out was... horrendous.
