We were just cautiously riding around seeing what was going on in the snowpack, attempting to find a good meadow or two to dip a ski in. We decided to dig a snow pit near 9200 feet on a north facing slope, and get familiar with what's buried in it. Here is what we came up with. While we had no real results from our tests we concluded that there is still a danger and that we were going to remain off of bigger terrain that was more than 30 degrees.
