We had a wonderful tour out from Incline Lake (bed). We avoided steeper slopes and found more than adequate snow for our tour. Poling frequently demonstrated a very week layer below the newer snow (about 1 - 1 1/2 feet down and about 4-6" deep to ground). On our last run two of us stopped below a short ~30 degree pitch. When the third person joined us the area we were standing on suddenly collapsed.
