7:30-10am. Toured from Lake Audrain to near the top of Scout Peak. N and NW aspects, 7200-8400ft. New snow was wind affected and dense for the top 15-20cm. Mostly broke through to less dense snow while skinning. Around 8000ft the wind slab was notable and cohesive but we did not observe shooting cracks. Heard one whumpf at the base of the climb in flat terrain. HS 50cm at 7200ft and the deepest we measured away from wind drifts was 88cm at 8000ft. Saw a couple cm of settlement around trees at and above 8000ft.
