Quick report
We snowmobiled the Blue Lakes zone. Gorgeous day. There were no signs of instabilities on test slopes. New snow averaged from 6-8in of cold dry in various locations. Temps remained somewhat cold, 30-34 degrees above 8500'. Dug a snowpit at 8143' and found a sizable solid crust with consolidated and supportive snow below it. Snowpit results CT 21, RP @120. Traction was great and you could go anywhere. We remained cognizant of steeper slopes regarding the soft slab avalanche problem in the forecast and were cautious on NW-SE aspects due to wind transport from the night before.
