Quick report
When we arrived to the parking area there was 5 in of new wet snow. On the way up the new snow seemed well bonded to the wet underlying layers. There were ample signs of wind transport but no cracking or other signs of instability in the new snow. Wind deposited areas were much deeper, with 10-15 in of new accumulation. The snow was noticeably colder above 7,800 ft but was still fairly dense.
