Quick report
In the morning, we found a thin crust on most slopes that made for challenging riding. Very steep, north facing slopes were the exception. Later in the morning as temperatures increased and the crust began to weaken, riding conditions improved. Winds remained strong and there was a dusting to 4 inches of new snow available for wind transport, yet we never saw evidence of current wind loading. I suspect the little new snow available for transport had already been redistributed prior to our arrival. With a high point of 9800ft, we were in snow that had previously been wind deposited, and did not see signs of instability.
