Quick report

Warm day with increasing afternoon winds,. Very little wind transport observed in the morning, and irregular wind transport observed in the afternoon. Warm slopes were wetting at the surface in the afternoon, including developing drainage runnels. Cold slopes held cold snow into the afternoon. Although we saw several recent wind slab avalanches, most were small, and adjacent test slopes did not produce concerning results today.

Several recent wind slab avalanches observed, mostly small but at least a few D2s. However, we used test slopes immediately adjacent to them, and got minimal results.
