Got out this morning in the Fireplug Glades. On average 2 feet of snow fell by 11am with more accumulating and locally higher where it had been pushed around by the wind. Test slopes produced large cracks today with the largest being on a NE aspect NTL. The crack produced was ~40’ long and 2’ deep (see photo). Another test slope N aspect BTL produced a crack with local sloughing. Ski quality was quite excellent today on lower angled sheltered terrain. With the strong (40mph?) ridgeline winds today SE slopes were becoming stripped and loaded on NE slopes.
