Quick report
Traveled from Commonwealth TH along the usual approach, up to the bottom of the avy swath, over to middle Kendall Peak Lake, and then back out to Commonwealth TH via Kendall Knob. Snow in the trees was soft and deep. The soft snow made for enjoyable skiing but arduous skinning where we had to set a track. Full solar aspects in the open had a substantial crust that was less noticeable on more shaded aspects. We kept our travel largely in the trees with a conservative mindset, and the observed crust kept us from stepping out into more open areas. No signs of instability observed.
