Quick report

The east winds cranked today. While there wasn't a lot of snow available for transport (3-4 inches), the strong wind speed easily drifted any available snow.  Due to temperature fluctuations over the past days, I found firm, supportable snow surfaces extending to roughly 7500 ft and across solar aspects. Above this, I began to find softer, drifted snow in terrain depressions and plenty of scoured areas along the triangle moraine. High winds have left a mixed bag on conditions across the south side.  Having ski/boot crampons could be helpful in steeper areas.
