Quick report

We went up Cave Ridge and then continued up to 5600 ft on the SE shoulder of Snoqualmie Mountain. All the way to the top Cave Ridge had about 2 ft of powder, no wind effect at all (as expected). The SE shoulder of Snoqualmie Mtn was a whole different game. Strong westerly winds, lots of wind affected snow on the ridge itself. Most of the wind loading seemed to be on the east side of the ridge (given the westerly winds). We have not observed any signs of instability but we also did not stray away from the ridge and turned around when a big rock would force us onto an open slope.
